A Message from National Van Lines’ CEO, Maureen Beal

Dear Agent:

It’s that time of year again! I can’t wait to see all of you at the 2009 Convention. And to be able to host another convention in this marvelous, completely renovated facility is an additional treat.

As you know, I consider the convention our family reunion. Each convention, I look forward to meeting with you personally and updating you on what’s new and exciting in the industry and at National Van Lines. I hope you’ll take advantage of the opportunity to meet with key members of National Van Lines’ corporate staff, network with your fellow agents, and visit with vendors.

We’ve got some new ideas this year – we’ll offer you an opportunity to come early and engage in “tabletop” discussions with our key staff and some agent experts. At your request, we’re bringing back the “Speaker Man” Steve Gilliland to “Continue the Ride” and we’ll introduce you to some “Positively Outrageous Service” through Southwest Airlines’ favorite keynote speaker, T. Scott Gross.

Along with National Forwarding, we will stress the importance of providing quality service to our valued customers -commercial and military.  Watch for some additional information on honoring our servicemen and women, as we continue to be “Proud to Serve Those Who Serve.”

The special social events this year are sure to be a hit with everyone. We can’t wait to see you Thursday night for the NFC opening night party – and I understand there’s a “Star Search/National Idol” episode in the making. I certainly hope you’re going to join us Friday night for an early dinner and entertainment – we know you’re going to want to see some Chicago nightlife afterwards – so we’ll let you out at 8:30 pm. But this is a “must attend” event – it would be a shame to miss out on the surprise twist! And my favorite event – the “Gala Awards Night” where we all get to dress up, honor agents and drivers, and of course, dance the night away…

All of us at National appreciate your efforts this past season – let’s show the world we are “Service Stars!”
