Welcome to the 2011 National Van Lines Agent Convention Website
A Message from National Van Lines’ CEO, Maureen Beal
Dear Agent:
It’s that time of year again! I can’t wait to see all of you at the 2011 Convention. This year’s convention site is breathtakingly beautiful. The Amelia Island Plantation property offers sunrises over the oceanfront beach and spectacular sunsets over green salt marshes.
To me, a convention serves as National Van Lines’ family reunion. Each convention, I look forward to meeting with you personally and updating you on what’s new and exciting in the industry and at National Van Lines. I hope you’ll take advantage of the opportunity to meet with key members of National Van Lines’ corporate staff, network with your fellow agents, and visit with vendors.
We’ve got some interesting and engaging speakers this year. Our environmental partner, Wyland will be a special guest at the Thursday night welcome reception and we look forward to learning more about his newest projects. Our Friday General Session Keynote speaker is an American hero, Sgt. Matt Eversmann. Sgt. Eversmann was immortalized in the film “Black Hawk Down” – the heroic account of a group of soldiers on a peacekeeping mission in Mogadishu, Somalia.
And, at your request, we’re bringing back Linda Bauer-Darr, President and CEO of AMSA to speak to us on Saturday morning. You may remember that we were one of the first van lines she got to know when she first came to the Industry in 2007, and I know you have a special place in her heart!
Along with National Forwarding, we will stress the importance of providing quality service to our valued customers -commercial and military. We are honored to have in attendance, Lt. Colonel Derek Oliver, the Deputy Chief of Staff for Personal Property – SDDC Scott Air Force Base.
We have a special location for the Friday Night event – Walker’s Landing – a beautiful event venue secluded along the marshlands. And, don’t miss my favorite event – the “Gala Awards Night” where we all get to dress up, honor agents and drivers, and of course, dance the night away…
All of us at National appreciate your efforts - and it’s important that we gather together and strengthen our partnership. Reward yourself by attending this fabulous event – YOU DESERVE IT!
See you in October!
Maureen
